Trumbull County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2010 census, the population was 210,312.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/39/39155.html )〕 Its county seat is Warren.〔(【引用サイトリンク】accessdate=2011-06-07 )〕 Trumbull County is part of the Youngstown-Warren-Boardman, OH-PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. ==History== After the discovery of the New World, the land that became Trumbull County was originally part of the French colony of Canada (New France), which was ceded in 1763 to Great Britain and renamed Province of Quebec. In the late 18th century the land became part of the Connecticut Western Reserve in the Northwest Territory, then was purchased by the Connecticut Land Company in 1795. Originally, Trumbull County consisted of the entire area of the Connecticut Western Reserve before being divided into smaller counties. The county is named for Jonathan Trumbull, Governor of Connecticut, who once owned the land in this region.
